Microbiological Analysis of the Air in a Popular Fish Processing and Marketing Area

Fish are marketed as a food and consumed worldwide. During the production of food, contamination by microorganisms is possible through air, soil, water, surfaces, handlers, etc. The air does not have natural microbial composition, but it vehicle for transmission economic health interest because they associated with spoilage human diseases. objective this study was microbiological analysis in an area popular processing marketing fish products city Tepic Nayarit. Using passive or sedimentation method to collect present proportion aerobic mesophile bacteria, coliform fungi yeast determined at different locations four weeks. results indicated that mesophiles had highest counts among all groups analyzed twelve sampling points during weeks study; their numbers ranged from 2.44 2.95 log CFU/m3/h, followed molds 1.44 2.75 yeasts 0.7 2.01 CFU/m3/h coliforms 1.68 CFU/m3/h.
